Beyond the Bottomline: How Volunteer Drivers Are Moving Victims to Safety — Eric Zarko, Families to Freedom

Life is often described as a mix of beauty and challenge, and Eric Zarko embodies this truth through his work with Families to Freedom.

Families to Freedom is dedicated to transporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking to safety. Founded in 2014, the organization has made significant strides. Last year alone, they transported nearly 2,500 individuals to safety, logging an impressive 1.7 million miles in service.

Eric shares the origin story: a woman discovered the staggering number of domestic violence victims turned away from shelters in Texas, and that realization sparked a movement — filling a critical gap in the support system.
